Sauvie Island's a-maize-ing pumpkin patches
Pumpkin patches may be the hallmark of fall, and the patches at Sauvie Island may be some of the best.
Open daily, both The Pumpkin Patch and Bella Organic farms offer pick-your-own pumpkin patches, along with hayrides and corn mazes.
The Pumpkin Patch and the Bella Organic farms offer a regular, dog-friendly corn maze. Dogs aren't allowed in either of the pumpkin patch areas, so plan ahead if you bring your pets. Bella Organic also offers a haunted maze for visitors who want a scare.
Corn maze tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors at both Bella Organics and The Pumpkin Patch.
The Bella Organics Haunted Maze offers a scare with creatures that stalk you as you make your way through dark cornfields every Friday and Saturday night in October. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at the venue. Tour tickets must be purchased before 10 p.m.
Both farms are open for touring and pumpkin-picking every day until 6 p.m. with a hayride to the patches available.
Hayrides and farm animals are marked attractions at both farms, while Bella Organics advertises train rides, face-painting, and food vendors. For more information and tickets, visit bellaorganic.com, or thepumpkinpatch.com.
