The St. Helens High School marching band and color guard, pictured here following an Oct. 27 state championship performance, earned a score high sufficient to place them in the top 20 overall at the Northwest Association for Performing Arts competition held at the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium. The band, which competes in the AA Division, earned a seventh-place title in the preliminary round of the competition and earned an overall 17th-place award in the finals.
