Area churches chip in to bolster housing
Faith leaders from five churches will help celebrate the groundbreaking of a new Habitat for Humanity project on Sunday, Sept. 29. Church leaders from Plymouth Presbyterian, First Lutheran, Christian Church, First United Methodist and Christ Episcopal Church are joining forces to raise money and provide volunteers for the first-ever Columbia County Habitat for Humanity Faith Build, a press release from Habitat stated. The project will involve building two attached two-bedroom homes in St. Helens on South 7th Street. The groundbreaking will take begin at 1:30 p.m. at 497 South 7th Street.
