Scappoose Theater debuts fall production showcasing the stories of women who served in World War II

Scappoose High School drama students debut their fall play "Decision Height," a drama set in Texas during World War II, this week. The play follows the stories of women who joined the military to be U.S. Air Force service pilots. During the play, one of the main characters, Virginia Hascall, leaves home and her fiance to join the service, and develops a sisterhood through triumph and tragedy with the women with whom she serves. Showings of the play will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 24-26, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Friday night's showing will have special pricing, where attendees can donate any amount they are willing or able to pay. The play will be performed at the Scappoose Theater, 33700 S.E. High School Way.
