With a cherry on top!
Students at Sauvie Island School raised $16,273 during their annual jog-a-thon school fundraiser. The students had a goal of $15,000. As a prize for reaching their goal, the class that raised the most money got to help turn their teacher, Mr. Shea, into an ice cream sundae. Students and staff helped scoop ice cream and dump various candy toppings and syrups onto Shea's head during an all-school assembly Monday, Oct. 28.
