KOIN 6 News reported that the crash happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, near Northwest 107th Avenue on Highway 30. Firefighters said the driver was taken to the hospital.

No one was in the community center at the time of the crash.

Firefighters discovered the impact caused a natural gas leak. Northwest Natural crews were called out to shut off the gas and to assess the damage.

Highway 30 was closed to traffic as emergency responders worked to clear the scene, but the road has since been reopened. Traffic was expected to return to normal by mid-afternoon, said Portland Fire and Rescue around 3:15 p.m.
