This year's grads include two from St. Helens, four from Scappoose, one from Warren

Seven local students — from St. Helens, Scappoose and Warren — recently celebrated their graduation from Western Governors University.

   Western Governors University is a private, nonprofit online university based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The university uses an online competency-based learning model.

Local graduates included: Jacqueline Ragan of St. Helens received a Master of Business Administration; Ruchana O'Brien of St. Helens received a Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8); Courtney Fountain-Miller of St. Helens received a Bachelor of Arts, Science (5-12, Bio); Christina Amela of Scappoose received a Master of Business Administration; Debbie Kistner of Scappoose received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing; Jennifer LaFollette of Scappoose received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing; Mayyeu Kue of Scappoose received a Bachelor of Science, Nursing; Lindsey Marquardt of Warren received a Master of Science, Curriculum and Instruction.
