Tornado hits St. Helens
A small tornado touched down in St. Helens around noon on Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service of Portland confirmed.
St. Helens Firefighters responded to the neighborhood near McBride Elementary School at 12:25 p.m., Columbia River Fire and Rescue reported.
Residents told CRFR crews that a tornado had come through the neighborhood.
Some homes and yards were damaged, but no injuries had been reported as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
At three homes, CRFR firefighters found evergreen limbs speared through rooftops of houses.
