Thursday, Dec. 17
Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a motorist following a driving complaint on Highway 30 near milepost 27 in St. Helens. It was reported the vehicle was failing to maintain lane and traveling at inconsistent speeds. Following an investigation, a woman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine.
Friday, Dec. 18
Troopers responded to a report from an off-duty Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife employee who witnessed hunters shoot a seagull in the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area. Contact was made with the suspects, who denied the allegations. The seagull was located, and the suspects were interviewed again, still denying they had accidentally or maliciously shot the bird. No evidence was found determining which hunter had killed the seagull and the investigation was concluded.
Sunday, Dec. 6
Officers responded to a report of found property in the 33000 block of Southwest Dutch Canyon Road. Contents of a wallet were found by a resident. It was determined the wallet had been stolen from a vehicle that was broken in to.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 51000 block of Southeast Second Street. Following an investigation, a man was arrested for assault IV and harassment.
Monday, Dec. 7
Officers responded to a report of identity theft in the 33000 block of Southwest Barta Court. The victim stated an unknown suspect used his name and social security number to claim unemployment benefits from the state of Oregon. The unemployment department was notified and the benefits were denied.
Wednesday, Dec. 9
Officers responded to a theft in the 53000 block of Northwest Thornton Drive. It was reported several items were stolen from a business. The case is under investigation.
