The form doesn't provide registration for vaccination, but will notify individuals when they are eligible for vaccination based on age, employment, health conditions and other risk factors.

As of this week, individuals 75 years of age and older are eligible for the vaccine. Some pharmacies in Oregon, including the Safeway pharmacy in St. Helens, began receiving doses this week.

Throughout the country, convoluted scheduling systems have made it difficult or nearly impossible for people to find vaccination appointments, particularly among older generations with less familiarity navigating online platforms.

People who live or work in a handful of Oregon counties, including Columbia County, can schedule vaccination appointments through the state's website when they are eligible and appointments are available.

Columbia County Public Health Administrator Michael Paul and county commissioners have said they want to manage vaccination appointments for providers to allow providers more time to focus on inoculations, rather than the logistics of scheduling.
