Scappoose town meeting scheduled for Saturday, April 30
Scappoose's annual town meeting will be held on Saturday, April 30, in the Scappoose High School auditorium.
Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided.
The event will start at 9 a.m. with a "State of the City" address from Mayor Scott Burge.
Attendees "will then hear an overview of the 50-Year Plan project from our consultant team. After everyone is up to speed on the project, we will launch into the community visioning activity where you will participate in an interactive group exercise to consider, establish, and present your ideal future Scappoose," the city announcement stated.
Informational booths from community groups and the city will be available for review for the final half hour of the event, from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

The high school's auditorium is located just inside the main entrance, at 33700 SE High School Way.
