Scappoose Police Log: Pizza customer takes swing at employee

Monday, July 4
Police responded to the report of a physical assault involving a customer who was unhappy at Domino's Pizza, 33444 S.W. Havlik Drive. It was reported that the customer grabbed onto the employee's arms and attempted to punch the employee's face. The customer was escorted out of the store and left the property prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported, and the case is closed until further suspect information is found.
Thursday, July 7
Police were dispatched to the report of found property in the 52000 block of Columbia River Highway where a bicycle was left for about a week and the owner had not returned to get it. The bicycle was taken into safekeeping until the owner can be found.
Friday, July 8
Police began investigating many different calls for graffiti and mail theft in the southwest and southeast sections of Scappoose. This case is pending. Possible suspects that have been identified through a homeowner's video.
Police investigated the report of a theft of items from inside a vehicle that was parked in the Fred Meyer parking lot, 51501 Columbia River Highway. The victim reported that the window of their vehicle was smashed, and items were taken from inside the vehicle. This case is pending suspect identification from video footage.
Police were dispatched to the report of three stolen scooters in the 33000 block of Southeast Vine Street. The victim reported that someone had stolen three scooters and miscellaneous tools from their vehicle. Video footage shows what appears to be three juvenile males in the area at the time of the theft. This case is pending further suspect information.
Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Roadrunner Gas & Grocery, 52023 Columbia River Highway. After reviewing the video, it was determined that a male and female suspect had taken the vehicle and left the area. The vehicle was later recovered by the Hillsboro Police Department.
Wednesday, July 13
Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 33000 block of Northwest Meersburg Street. The vehicle was later recovered outside city limits. The vehicle was left in the same condition as it was when stolen but all the property inside was stolen.
Wednesday, July 20
Police were dispatched to the report of a package theft from a porch in the 33000 block of Northeast Kale Street. It was reported that an unknown suspect had taken the package from the porch and left the area. The suspect was caught on video and the case is pending further suspect identification.
