Rip City 3-on-3 sign-ups extended until Saturday
The shot clock is counting down.
The ball is in your hands.
And there's still time to sign up for the annual Rip City 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
The Portland Trail Blazers just extended the sign-up date for the 2019 tournament to Saturday, July 20. The tournament is back for its sixth year and set for Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28.
The tournament is open to players — both male and female — ages 5 and older and will be held at the Rose Quarter Campus. This year's event will feature competition in six divisions, the Lay-Ups Division for ages 5-7 on an 8-foot basket, the Junior Youth Division for ages 8-9, the Senior Youth Division for ages 10-12, the Teen Division for ages 13-19, the Adult Division for ages 20-39, the Adult Division for ages 40 and older, the men's and women's Elite Divisions for ages 18 and older, the Wheelchair Division and the Special Olympics Division.
Youth, teen and adult divisions will be segmented by tournament organizers into smaller pools and brackets based on skill, size, playing experience and gender, and mixed gender teams may be grouped into co-ed brackets if enough teams sign up.
