Former Scappoose High football standout David Mayo started as usual for the New York Giants last Sunday as they played host to the Green Bay Packers.

Mayo made five tackles, three solo and one for loss before 75,950 fans in freezing rain at East Rutherford, New Jersey.

But the Packers pulled away with two fourth-quarter touchdown passes by Aaron Rodgers (who threw for four TDs in all).

Green Bay's 31-13 victory at MetLife Stadium left the Giants at 2-10 with their eighth loss in a row while the Packers climbed to 9-3 atop the NFC North Division.

New York will be back in action on Monday, going to Philadelphia (5-7) for the nationally televised (ESPN) 5:15 p.m. PT matchup. The Eagles trail division-leading Dallas by one game.
