Although it was canceled last year due to COVID-19, plans are to hold the annual parade, tree lighting on Dec. 4.

PMG FILE PHOTO - Plans are underway to hold the annual Robin Hood Festival Holiday Parade, followed by the annual tree lighting, on Dec. 4. Sherwood is going to start shining brighter the first weekend in December. The annual tree lighting will follow the Holiday Parade, beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Southwest Sherwood Boulevard and 12th Street.

The parade will proceed into downtown Sherwood, ending on Southwest Pine Street by Cannery Square Park. Parade registration begins at 3:15 p.m. in the Kohl's parking lot adjacent to Southwest 12th Street.

The Maid Marian Court will host the entertainment in Cannery Square Park, introducing numerous local choirs for the community's enjoyment.

There will be a countdown to the Christmas Tree lighting and contactless visits with Santa in his tent.

Children are also invited to bring letters for Santa to drop in his special mailbox. Hot dogs and cookies will be provided by Walmart and Safeway.

Hot chocolate and coffee will be made available by Symposium and Starbucks, with Smockville Brewhouse offering free hot cider outside of their business. Horse and carriage rides through downtown Sherwood are being sponsored by Angi Ford of Premiere Property Group, LLC.

This free family-friendly holiday event is sponsored by the Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association.

We receive support from the City of Sherwood and numerous local individuals, businesses, and organizations. The SRHFA is a non-profit organization in service year-round to the community of Sherwood.

New volunteers are always welcome. Event updates can be found on our website and social media pages (USARobinHood). You can also send email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 503-625-4233 for more information.
