A Sherwood High School student who was in possession of a “hit list” has been removed from school until authorities further evaluate the situation.

Police found a piece of paper titled, “my hit list” on Tuesday, which contained the names of 23 SHS students, after being notified by a “mandatory reporter.” A thorough search of the student’s residence did not turn up anything to indicate the student was going to follow through with the list, according to Capt. Ty Hanlon of the Sherwood Police Department. The parents of those students named on the list were notified, according to Sherwood School District officials.

No further information was immediately available.
