The road closure begins July 5 and will continue through Aug. 3 in order to make roadway improvements along the heavily traveled Beaverton thoroughfare

COURTESY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY LAND USE AND TRANSPORTATION - Here are alternative routes to get around 175th Avenue during its closure. Those hoping to go from Roy Rogers Road at Scholls Ferry Road to head into Beaverton via 175th Avenue will have to find an alternate route beginning July 5.

That's when the popular thoroughfare that travels all the way up to Kemmer Road will shut down for road improvements completed by Brian Clopton Excavating. The roadway will reopen Aug. 4.

Meanwhile, through-traffic will be detoured to Hart Road, Murray Boulevard and Scholls Ferry Road.

Local access will be available only for properties that must be accessed from 175th Avenue including Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District's Winkelman Park. However, the park will be accessible only from 175th Avenue from Kemmer Road.
