The band, directed by Michael Burch-Pesses, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the program 'As We Were -- Music from OSB's Past.'

The concert features music Oregon Symphonic Band will celebrate its 30th year by playing a program entitled "As We Were – Music from OSB's Past" at the Sherwood Center for the Arts on Nov. 3. The award-winning band is conducted by Michael Burch-Pesses, former U.S. Navy bandmaster and current director of bands at Pacific University.

The concert features music by Holst, Tchaikovsky and John Philip Sousa, selections from "West Side Story," and a piece commissioned especially for OSB, entitled "Beautiful Oregon."

The Oregon Symphonic Band is a 65-musician, professional quality concert band. Tickets are available online at www.oregonsymphonicband.com and at the door.

The performance is set for 7:30 at the arts center, 22689 S.W. Pine St. in Sherwood, Oregon.
