Kristen Delaney hired as new executive assistant for superintendent
Kristen Delaney has been hired by the Sherwood School District as an executive assistant to Superintendent Heather Cordie.
Delaney most recently worked as manager of business operations for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Newberg from 2012-2017. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Virginia Wesleyan College.
"I am thrilled to join the exceptional staff of the Sherwood School District. Participating in collaborative efforts to enhance education, within the Sherwood community, is a personal ambition of mine," said Delaney, who officially started at the district on Nov. 17.
In addition to her academic degrees, she has a strong career background in managing administrative services, communications and special events.
"We feel very fortunate to have Ms. Delaney join our district office team," said Cordie. "She rose to the top during the multiple-step interview process where she showed her strong skill set, working knowledge, engaging personality, and focus on relationships."
