PUBLIC CALLS FOR SERVICE: Total: 1,851, which includes thefts, domestic incidents, crashes and juvenile/child incidents.

SELF-INITIATED ACTIVITY: Total: 1,412, which includes traffic stops, assisting the public, suspicious vehicles and extra patrols.

Jan. 1

Police responded to a report of identity theft at the Rite Aid on Southwest Alder Street.

A man was charged with second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief after stealing $190 in cash and causing an estimated $800 worth of damage to a coffee vending machine inside the vestibule of the Sherwood Walmart.

Jan. 2

A hit-and-run occurred near the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road and Oregon Street. The suspect was not located. There were no injuries.

Police arrested a man and a woman for public intoxication in the 21000 block of Southwest Langer Farms Parkway. The woman had been reported missing in Portland and was returned to her son.

Jan. 4

A man reported missing was located at a traffic stop near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Sherwood Boulevard. He was returned to his wife.

Police responded to a report of stolen vehicle parts at the 14000 block of Southwest Galbreath Drive.

Police responded to a reported restraining order violation at the 16000 block of Southwest Daylily Street. Police determined the report to be unfounded.

A driver consented to a vehicle search and was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Southwest Langer Farms Parkway and Tualatin Sherwood Road.

Jan. 5

A vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road and Roy Rogers Road.

A recycling bin owned by Pride Disposal Co. was stolen from in front of a home on the 22000 block of Southwest Chesapeake Place. It was worth $55.

Jan. 6

Police responded to a call of suspicious activity at Pride Disposal Co. on Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road. A man was found in the dump debris.

An unknown person cut the wire fencing and padlock protecting a Stark Street Lawn and Garden, then stole about $1,500 worth of law and gardening equipment and power tools.

Police stopped a man at the 15000 block of Southwest First Street and arrested him on an outstanding felony warrant. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.

Jan. 8

A woman was caught with shoplifted goods outside of the Sherwood Walmart. Walmart chose to charge her only for trespassing.

A woman reported that her EBT food stamp card was either lost or stolen at the Sherwood Walmart.

Graffiti and vandalism was found on the 21000 block of Southwest Langer Farms Parkway. Police do not have any suspect information.

Jan. 10

A vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Roy Rogers Road.

Police responded to a call of unlawful entry into a woman's vehicle on the 16000 block of Southwest Langer Drive.

Police responded to a disturbance between two people in the middle of the street near the intersection of Southwest Edy Road and Borchers Drive. It was determined to be verbal in nature, and no arrests were made.

Jan. 11

A vehicle crashed into a tree near the intersection of Southwest Lavender Place and Reghetto Street.

Police responded to an unspecified civil complaint at the 16000 block of Southwest Langer Drive.

A restraining order was violated and $200 worth of property was damaged on the 21000 block of Southwest Cedar Brook Way.

Jan. 12

Police arrested a man for driving with a suspended license near the intersection of Southwest Gleneagle Drive and Sherwood Boulevard.

Jan. 13

A man was arrested on a statewide municipal warrant for contempt of court near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Garland Road. He was lodged at the Washington County Jail.

Jan. 14

A man in a 2011 Subaru Outback was arrested for driving with a revoked license near the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road and Pacific Highway.

A driver hit a street sign and then left the scene near the intersection of Southwest Langer Farms Parkway and Century Drive.

A woman was arrested for shoplifting at the Sherwood Walmart. She also was charged with shoplifting from a Beaverton business.

Jan. 15

A woman fell asleep while driving, swerved off the road and damaged her car near the intersection of Southwest Oregon Street. and Murdock Road. She was unharmed. Police cited her for careless driving.

A three-vehicle crash resulted in injuries near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Langers Farm Parkway.

A bike was reported stolen on the 14000 block of Southwest Fairoaks Drive.

Jan. 16

A hit-and-run was reported near the intersection of Southwest Houston Drive and Houston Court. Police were able to locate both involved parties. There were no injuries.

A woman reported that package containing $38 worth of home goods was stolen from her at the 16100 block of Southwest Century Drive.

A theft of $260 cash was reported at the 15000 block of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road.

Jan. 17

An unknown person vandalized an anti-abortion display at the New Life Assembly of God Church.

Police responded to a report of alleged burglary at the 21000 block of Southwest Fallow Terrace. However, no evidence of a crime was noted and no items were found missing.

Police assisted in an information exchange between two drivers involved in an auto accident at the intersection of Southwest Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Highway.

A woman reported an internet scam in which she lost $1,280.

Jan. 18

A woman was let off with a trespassing warning after police found her at the HungryHero Bakery.

An unknown person keyed a man's car at the 17000 block of Southwest Heatherwood Lane.

Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court near the intersection of Southwest Roy Rogers Road and Cedarview Way.

Jan. 19

A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend stole her tablet, valued at $80, while she was sleeping at the 16000 block of Southwest Gleneagle Drive.

A man dropped off a piece of heavy construction equipment he had found behind the Safeway on Roy Rogers Road at the Sherwood Police Department. Police later determined that the item had been stolen as part of an unreported theft at the PGE substation behind Safeway. Police returned the item to its original owner.

Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant issued in Yamhill County on the 21000 block of Southwest Pacific Highway.

Police stopped a driver for running a stop sign at the intersection of Southwest Sunset Blvd. and Cinnamon Hills Place. The man was then arrested on a misdemeanor warrant issued in Multnomah County.

A woman was issued a warning for trespassing at Sentinel Self-Storage.

Jan. 20

Police responded to a report that shots had been fired at Threat Dynamics, a gun store. Police later determined that no crime had occurred.

A man reported that his truck had been stolen at the 22000 block of Southwest Orlando Street. It was later determined that the bank had towed the vehicle.

Jan. 21

Police arrested a man for driving with a suspended license near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Bell Road. While being processed at the Sherwood Police Department, the man confessed to possessing a small amount of cocaine in his sock. He was charged for both the suspended license and for cocaine possession.

Police arrested a man who had an outstanding warrant for heroin possession during a traffic stop at the 21000 block of Southwest Baler Way.

Jan. 22

A disturbance involving two men was reported at the 15000 block of Southwest Oregon Street.

n A case of stolen identity was reported on the 23000 block of Southwest Voss Place. A woman said that an unknown person had re-activated her personal Facebook account.

A non-injury, one-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Langer Farms Parkway.

A woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on the 16000 block of Southwest Daffodil Street.

Jan. 23

Identity theft and stolen property were reported on the 16000 block of Southwest Century Drive. An unknown suspect stole the victim's debit card and charged $1,193 without the victim's consent.

Jan. 24

It was reported that an unknown suspect stole $15 worth of alcohol from the Safeway on Southwest Roy Rogers Road.

Jan. 25

Police located a small container with cannabis behind the Sherwood Senior Center. It was placed in the Sherwood Police Department's evidence for destruction.

A non-injury vehicle collision occurred in the Sherwood Walmart parking lot.

Jan. 26

A vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road and Langer Farms Parkway.

Jan. 27

Police received a report of a cougar sighting near the intersection of Southwest Sunset Blvd. and Redfern Drive.

A man reported a hit-and-run at the 20000 block of Southwest Pacific Highway. There is no suspect information.

A woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of Southwest Pacific Highway and Langer Farms Parkway.

Jan. 28

A non-injury traffic crash occurred near the intersection of Southwest Willamette Drive and Highland Drive.

An unknown vehicle drove through the Sherwood High School parking lot and knocked over a stop sign. The incident was captured by a surveillance camera, but the license plate number was not clear in the footage.

A man was charged with second-degree theft after a woman reported that an umbrella had been stolen off of her front porch on the 16000 block of Southwest Baler Way.

An unknown suspect entered a woman's home on the 15000 block of Southwest Harvester Lane and stole $80 from her purse.

$600 worth of electronics were reported stolen from the Sherwood Target.
