"North by Northwest" on the big screen

Join the Sherwood Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, to enjoy a classic thriller, "North by Northwest," on the big screen. Cary Grant stars in this Hitchcock thriller of mistaken identity, espionage and edge-of-your-seat chase scenes. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $3 for all ages and can be purchased online or at the door. Sweet treats and popcorn will be available for purchase.

Family Flix series presents "The Little Rascals"

The Center for the Arts and Gardner Team at Hasson Co. Realtors will present the new Family Flix Series. Join this month as to watch "The Little Rascals" on the big screen at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 18. This adorable, family fun show is the 1994 film version of the old "Our Gang" series. It contains all of the old favorites: Spanky and Alfalfa, the He-Man Women Haters Club, and a soap box derby. Tickets are $3 for all ages and can be purchased online or at the door. Sweet treats, popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.

ART 2018 Student Show opening and reception

A reception for the ART 2018 Student Show will occur from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, and is free and open to the public. Meet the artists, curators and other art lovers, enjoy light refreshments and live acoustic music in the lobby. This month-long exhibit features the talents of Sherwood's many youth art students. The student show will run from March 8 through April 19.

"An Irish Family Hooley" in Sherwood

The Family Matinee Series will present An Irish Family Hooley by the Murray Irish Dancers, at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, on the main stage. Celebrate this St. Patrick's Day with Portland's top Irish dance performance troupe, accompanied by live Irish music and song. Well-known for their high-energy performances and vividly attractive costumes, get ready for toe tapping, foot stomping and hand-clapping in the spirit of Irish culture, music and tradition. Come early to participate in a fun craft before the show at 1 pm. Tickets are $5/all ages and can be purchased online or at the door. Doors open at 1:30 pm.

Movies in the Park community survey

Visit the City of Sherwood website to participate in the city-wide Movies in the Park survey to help the Center select its feature presentations for this summer. As stated on the survey, top choices will be selected based on availability and licensing. This survey will close on March 16.
