Egg Hunt for Hope set for April 20
The McCabe Real Estate Group's 13th Annual Egg Hunt For Hope is set for Saturday April 20 at Sherwood High School's track and field.
This year's recipient is Heather Holmgreen. Heather, 35 years old, lives in Sherwood with her husband Tyler and their 2-year-old daughter, Everly. She is a real estate agent for Inhabit Real Estate.
In October of 2018, after about a month of an odd painful sensation in her lungs, Heather was diagnosed with Lung Adenocarcinoma, stage IV. She has begun treatment with a Chemotherapy pill and has high hopes to continue to enjoy her life and career in Sherwood with her family.
Cost for the benefit egg hunt is only $3 per participant. Rain or shine, there will be four egg hunts: one for the age group of 0-2 years, 3 years old - kindergarten, first through fifth grade and a hunt for the adults too!
Bring your cameras to get photos with the Easter Bunny during the event. Fun and festivities will start at around 12:30 pm with a quick opening ceremony at 1 pm and the egg hunts officially starting right at 1:30 pm.
Donated sweets from Sherwood's Hungry Hero Dessert Company and beverages from Dutch Bros. will be for sale at the event to benefit Heather and her family. Drawing tickets will be for sale starting at 12:30 p.m. for a chance to win one of the many donated baskets. A silent auction will also be happening during the event.
