A Sherwood tradition: Parade celebrates 65 years of Robin Hood Festival
A time-honored tradition, the much-loved Robin Hood Festival Parade will be back again this year, with all entrants encouraged to decorate and celebrate with the theme: The 65th Anniversary of the Robin Hood Festival.
The parade will begin promptly at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20. It will wind its way along Century Boulevard before turning south along Sherwood Boulevard and through Old Town Sherwood. Check out the parade route map and if you are observing the parade, come early to stake your claim along the route.
We have some special participants this year, including Faye's Knights, horseback tribute in honor of the memory of community member Faye Ward, who participated in the parade for over 25 years. If you plan to participate in the parade, we encourage you and your group to apply early. This will assure your group a spot and will help us better arrange our parade sequence.
The parade staging area is Century Boulevard alongside Walmart. Please note that the staging area on Century Boulevard will be accessible only from Tualatin-Sherwood Road during parade lineup. All other entrances will be blocked.
Parade rules and entry forms as well as the latest staging and parking instructions can be found at robinhoodfestival.org. Or, call 503-625-4233 for more information.
