Robin Hood Festival Parade marks 65th anniversary of festival
The time-honored tradition of the Robin Hood Festival Parade kicked off Saturday morning with loads of floats, bands and marchers. It marked the opening celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Robin Hood Festival.
Included in the parade was Faye's Knights, a horseback tribute in honor of the memory of community member Faye Ward, who participated in the parade for over 25 years.
The parade began at 10 a.m. and made its way along Century Boulevard before turning south along Sherwood Boulevard and through Old Town Sherwood.
