Sherwood Robin Hood Festival welcomes new volunteers
The Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association is in service to the Sherwood community year-round, and planning will soon begin for the annual Holiday Festival to be held on the first Saturday in December.
The association expresses its thanks for all of the volunteers and sponsors who made the summer festival a tremendous success. The planning for the summer festival is a year-round endeavor, and association members encourage and welcome new volunteers to assist in planning creative enhancements to the Holiday Festival.
If you are interested in becoming involved in the planning of Sherwood's annual festivals, now is a perfect time to do so. All are welcome to attend the association's monthly meetings, which are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Sherwood Midday Masonic Lodge on Southwest Washington Street in Old Town Sherwood.
The Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Association is an all-volunteer organization. New volunteers are always welcome to become a part of continuing these Sherwood traditions that have contibuted greatly to the Sherwood community for over 65 years.
The association's next couple of meetings will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, and Thursday, Oct. 17.
