Sherwood High School Interact Club looking ahead to 2020
What's next for Sherwood Interact?
The Rotary Club of Sherwood sponsors the Interact Club at Sherwood High School as a way to get young people involved in service, both locally and internationally. Now, club co-presidents Kendall Balderee and Hayley Lindsley are spearheading an effort to plan out the club's activities and works in 2020.
One of the goals of Interact — a name derived from "inter," for international, and "act," for action — is to equip young people with "practical experience" so they can better serve other people.
Past Interact activities include beach cleanups, serving meals at St. Francis Catholic Church, putting on a talent show to raise money for clean drinking water in other countries, and more.
The Interact Club meets at 7:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, in classroom E15 at Sherwood High School.
