The incident occurred in Sherwood, during a response to an emergency medical call, the agency says.

A firefighter was injured while responding to an emergency medical call in Sherwood on Saturday morning, Dec. 21, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.

The agency said one of its firefighters was climbing a ladder when the firefighter fell. The firefighter suffered what were characterized as "minor injuries" and was treated on scene before being taken to the hospital.

TVF&R said it was responding to a home in Sherwood just after 8 a.m. after the homeowner fell through the ceiling, injuring themself. The homeowner was also transported to the hospital, the fire and rescue agency added.

The names of the injured persons haven't been released.
