Meal deliveries are canceled. Distance learning materials will be provided in a non-live format.

The Sherwood School District has canceled limited in-person instruction and meal deliveries for Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to hazardous road conditions.

Roads remain icy in places after a heavy winter storm late last week. Additionally, tens of thousands of people throughout the greater Portland area remain without power.

The school district will continue with comprehensive distance learning Tuesday, unlike some of its neighbors; the Beaverton, Tigard-Tualatin, Lake Oswego and West Linn-Wilsonville school districts all canceled classes for the day. However, Sherwood's distance learning will be provided "asynchronously," meaning students will access pre-recorded and other previously prepared material instead of participating in live classes Tuesday.

Meals can be picked up from schools, but they will not be delivered Tuesday.

Athletic practices Tuesday are canceled as well.
