'The Sherwood Education Foundation and the student volunteers appreciate you taking the call.'

The Sherwood Education Foundation will hold its annual Calling For Kids campaign Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 5 and 6. For the past few years, student representatives from Laurel Ridge Middle School, Sherwood Middle School and Sherwood High School leadership classes have been making these important phone calls.

Calling For Kids provides an opportunity for these students to fulfill their volunteer obligations while raising money for teacher grants. It's a win-win!

Please take the call and make a pledge. These funds will go directly back into your students' classrooms to fund programs like the Oregon Trail Overnight, Biz Town; provide extra books to supplement libraries in both English and Spanish; alternative seating options and much, much more.

If you are interested in volunteering or want to know more about what the foundation does, please visit our Facebook page at Sherwood Education Foundation, message us directly via Facebook or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The Sherwood Education Foundation and the student volunteers appreciate you taking the call. We thank you for your support!

Kristie Spurling is vice president of the Sherwood Education Foundation.
