Wine country dreams
For the first time in its 47-year history, the NW Natural Street of Dreams will take place in Yamhill County. The annual home tour produced by the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland offers a unique opportunity for home inspiration, showcasing the latest design trends and technology. This year's event is being billed as the wine country tour edition. Six wine-country-inspired homes will be featured, with four homes at the main site in Newberg plus two bonus homes in nearby McMinnville.
Rose Pointe Estates, developed by Del Boca Vista, is a six-lot hilltop community located off of northeast Bell Road, just outside Newberg. The two-acre sites feature stunning, 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside. Rose Pointe Estates will anchor the show featuring three luxury homes each valued at more than $3 million. Additionally, the 2022 NW Natural Street of Dreams will include a fourth home near the main site's parking lot just down the road. This home also features spectacular views and is valued at approximately $3 million.
This year, two additional homes will be showcased at separate locations (self-guided tour sites) located in McMinnville.
All of the homes in the NW Natural Street of Dreams showcase the latest in natural gas technology that buyers are looking for — appliances that can reduce your energy usage and carbon footprint, and many that continue working even when the power is out. Eight in 10 recent and prospective homebuyers recognize that natural gas is affordable, efficient, and preferable to electricity for heating and cooking. They feel natural gas service is essential when looking for their "ideal" single-family home.
Whether visitors are looking for their dream home, wanting to build a new home, or are getting ready to remodel or redecorate their current home, inspiration can be found at this year's NW Natural Street of Dreams.
New this year, the NW Natural Street of Dreams offers VIP experiences to visit the show and explore the surrounding community with wine country tour packages. Through these VIP packages, visits to wine country include a behind-the-scenes tour of the homes at Rose Pointe Estates, lunch, a personal designer or builder-led presentation and transportation to nearby wineries or distilleries for tastings.
Each package provides a unique experience. With Newberg, Carlton, and McMinnville-focused tours, enjoy lunch and a wine tasting with a view in the VIP space at Rose Pointe Estates, followed by tasting experiences at various partner wineries.
In Newberg, visit Chehalem Winery (Chehalem, Stoller and Chemistry wines). In Carlton, experience Laurel Ridge Winery, Abbey Road and Utopia Winery. Choose a Sunday-only McMinnville tour package, where you can visit the two bonus homes and enjoy a tasting at Willamette Valley Vineyard's downtown tasting room.

Making a difference in the community
The Home Builders Foundation, the charitable arm of the Home Builders Association, builds and remodels homeless shelters for families — including the Community Wellness Collective which provides mental health, social wellness, housing and emergency support for people in Yamhill County. Visitors to the Street of Dreams can add a donation to their ticket purchase, for which the proceeds go directly to Home Builders Foundation and the non-profit's efforts to build and renovate shelters throughout the region.
Proceeds for the NW Natural Street of Dreams also help the Home Builders Association maximize housing choices for those in the greater Portland area. In addition to working with local jurisdictions on housing affordability and other important issues, the Home Builders Association connects consumers with home builders, remodelers, suppliers, and all types of housing service providers in the Portland metro area.
