Portlanders to rally locally April 29 to promote action against climate change
Local activists are staging the Portland People's Climate March on Saturday, April 29, in solidarity with the National People's Climate Movement activities in Washington D.C. that day.
In Portland, supporters will mobilize at Dawson Park, at North Williams Avenue and Stanton Street, from noon to 4 p.m.
Speakers will address the crowd from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a march from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is led by the Oregon Just Transition Alliance.

April 29 marks the 100th day of the Donald Trump administration, which has promoted the coal and oil industries and worked to overturn actions taken by the Obama administration to address the threat from global warming.
