One new feature for this year's fundraising event: a valet parking service for those arriving by bicycle

FILE PHOTO - The Street Trust, an advocacy group for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit users, holds its annual Alice Awards auction on Sept. 29. The Street Trust (formerly known as the Bicycle Transportation Alliance) is back with its popular Alice Awards event (formerly known as Alice B. Toeclips)

The new name denotes The Street Trust's expanded mandate to advocate not just for bicyclists but also for pedestrians and public transit users.

The advocacy group's annual awards and fundraising evening takes place Friday, Sept. 29, starting at 5 p.m., at Castaway Portland, 1900 N.W. 18th Ave. in Portland.

Pedal up to Castaway on Northwest Upshur between 17th and 18th avenues and have your bike parked by a valet!

Despite the valet, casual attire is encouraged.

There'll be street food, awards presentations, an auction, and beer.
