Broken pipe issue resolved, flush and testing still needed before district can lift mandate

Boring residents are under a boil water mandate for the next 24 to 48 hours. On Wednesday evening, the Boring Water District No. 24 notified the community of broken water lines and told residents to boil all drinking water until the line could be fixed. The district hoped the issue would be resolved earlier, but extended the mandate at 11:05 a.m. Thursday.

The water lines in question have been repaired, but the district still needs to flush lines and test water before lifting the mandate.
