Firefighters are still investigating after a fire damaged equipment in the housekeeping area of Timberline Lodge in Government Camp.
Around 5:21 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, Hoodland Fire responded to an alarm at the historic hotel, soon finding the flames had been extinguished by employees before their arrival.
The damage was minor, and no employees, guests or firefighters were injured.
Upon inspection, firefighters could not find any extension of the fire in adjoining walls or equipment but will continue to investigate.
The lodge is still open for business and sustained no direct damage.
Hoodland Fire stayed at the scene until U.S. Forest Service officials arrived and information was relayed.
