Connect with the latest styles in Boring
People in the Boring area who are looking to expand their wardrobe don't need to search for long.
In May, Nicole O'Malley opened Nikki Lea at 28080 S.E. Highway 212, in a shared space with Anngelique Lungren of Black Sheep Yarn Co. Both stores are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays.
A resident of Gresham, O'Malley began her venture online two years ago, and she appreciates having expanded to a physical storefront and connecting with more customers with clothing.
"A lot of local people bought online, so it's great they can pop in," she said.
O'Malley sells women's clothing, accessories, shoes and gift items.
"I wanted to bring something new to the area," she said, noting that she carries "everything from trendy to classics."
"I love shopping, and I like making people feel good about themselves," she added. "I like helping people pick out things that make them look good."
O'Malley also offers one-on-one shopping sessions for those interested.
"People like it," she noted.
O'Malley appreciates watching local clothing trends form and seeing which items are popular with customers.
"Every now and then, an item takes off and you don't expect it," she said.
O'Malley also enjoys working with Lungren and sharing the storefront.
"I've been friends with Anngelique since we were in high school," she said. "We've both lived in the area since we were teens."
