With concerns about the novel coronavirus COVID-19 on the rise, chamber takes precautions

COURTESY PHOTO: MT. HOOD AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - The Chamber board will consider the status of the May meeting at a later date. Because of current public health concerns, the Mt. Hood Area Chamber of Commerce has canceled its April 7 meeting. Many of the regular attendees fall into at-risk categories for suffering greatly from contracting the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

"Individuals in high risk populations (those over 60 years of age, or those with an underlying health condition) should avoid social and community gatherings of more than 10 people, for four weeks (through April 8, 2020)," Acting Chamber President Susan Stindt quoted in her statement last week. "Many of our members and board are over 60. Please stay healthy."

The Chamber board will consider the status of the May meeting at a later date and notify members.
