Starting April 1, parents with children who will turn 5 on or before Aug. 31 are invited to enroll their students for next fall, meet teachers and learn some kindergarten prep activities.

If you're unsure which school your child will attend, visit bit.ly/OTSDschoolbound to see the school boundaries map.

The schedule for the kindergarten kickoff events is as follows:

• Firwood Elementary: 6 p.m. Thursday, April 1.

• Naas Elementary: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6.

• Kelso Elementary: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7.

• Sandy Grade: 6 p.m. Thursday, April 22.

• Welches Elementary: 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27.

Registration for these online events is required. To register, go to the district website. If you are brand new to the Oregon Trail School District, there is a link for "Brand New Parents To Oregon Trail School District." From there click "I am a Parent," then from the login screen, click "More Options." Finally, click "Create a New Account" and follow steps to create your new ParentVUE account.
