Area churches get ready to celebrate the ressurection and rebirth with reserved in-sanctuary seating.

As more people get vaccinated and the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel seems to brighten, Sandy area churches are preparing for limited in-person services for Easter.

Reserve a pew

• Abundant Life Church in Sandy, 16633 Champion Way, plans to offer in-person and online access to Easter services at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, April 4. The online service can be found at alcpnw.online.church. Those interested in worshipping in-person need to register in advance online at alcpnw.com/easter.

• Pathway Church at 8537-15150 S.E. Orient Dr, Boring, is meeting at 9 a.m. Sundays with masking and distancing, and reservations are required. To reserve a seat, visit pathwaychurch.net/join-us-sundays.

• Boring's Good Shepherd Church, 28986 S.E. Haley Road, is offering Easter services on Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4. Reservations for seats are required and you can make those requests online at gscc.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/676041.

In-person services will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 3, and at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday, April 4. Sermons can also be found online at goodshepherdcc.org.

Online and in-person

• Likewise, Living Way Fellowship, 39300 Dubarko Road, has scheduled to have both a live Easter service experience and a web service at 10:30 a.m., though reservations are not required to attend in-person.

• The Sandy Assembly of God Church has opened for multiple in-person experiences, including two Sunday services a week at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. These services are both available to attend in-person in the sanctuary at 39800 E. Highway 26, and online at sandyassemblyofgod.org.

• Sandy Adventist Church has resumed holding in-person meetings, while still observing social distancing and masking requirements. Services are at 10:50 a.m. Sundays and besides being in-person are recorded and available on the church's Facebook page at facebook.com/sandyadventistchurch.

• Sandy Baptist Church began gathering in-person again on Jan. 17. Masks and distancing precautions are required and visitors are encouraged to continue to avoid congregating in the foyer and sanctuary to minimize any exposure.

Though the church is meeting in-person at 10:30 a.m. Sundays, sermons can also be found on the website at sandybaptist.org/sermons-2.

• Immanuel Lutheran Church, 39901 Pleasant St., Sandy, plans to offer in-person and Zoom-based services at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 4. Masking and other COVID safety precautions must be followed during in-person worship. The online service can be accessed at immanuelsandy.com.

• At 39290 Scenic St., the Community Church of Sandy will be in-peron and virtual at 10 a.m. The online service for Easter can be found on the church website at ccsandy.com.

Mass en masse

• St. Michael's Catholic Church will host multiple services for Easter in-person at 18090 S.E. Langensand Road, Sandy. There will be an Easter vigil at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 3, and Easter Sunday masses at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The afternoon mass will be given in Spanish.
