COURTESY PHOTO: CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - The suspect in the Aug. 26 burglary from a Rhododendron cabin, now identified as Carl Eugene Ackley, was reportedly driving a Chevy Silverado. With help from the public and The Dalles Police Department, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office has identified 51-year-old Carl Eugene Ackley of The Dalles as the suspect recorded allegedly burglarizing a Rhododendron cabin on Aug. 26.

The case has been sent to the Clackamas County district attorney's office. Ackley could face charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass.

Surveillance video from Aug. 26 at a cabin on East Road 12 in Rhododendron showed a man who law enforcement now believe to be Ackley stealing tools. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded, but the suspect had already fled.
