Sandy VEX Robotics thanks donors

   - In the past few weeks, Sandy High's robotics team has been raising funds to send teams to the The 2022 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas.

After a successful campaign, the team members would like to thank the following donors for supporting their efforts:

• Platinum Donor: Operators Union 701

• Gold Donors: EverFresh, Cochran and MicroChip

• Silver Donors: Mutual Materials, Sherpa, Gravy Ink and Nuts on Sports.

"Thanks to everyone who donated at (our) pizza fundraiser (at Nuts on Sports), everyone who sent in checks, and all the good luck wishes," team coach Aron Eslinger said in a post on Facebook on April 28. "It is very much appreciated."

Two teams attended the World Championship from May 3-8, including Sandy High's Zander Ortega, Ava Barker, Madison Littlejohn, Lindsey Shupe and Jeshua Milbradt and middle school teammates Lincoln Farnsworth and Alex Eslinger.

Business owners asked to complete survey

The Sandy area Chamber of Commerce, which operates a Clackamas County Business Recovery Center, is developing a small business recovery grant program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The chamber is seeking feedback on the causes that are preventing local businesses from making a full recovery and what could help them make progress.
