LETTER: Sandy needs a mayor with vision; Sandy needs Stan Pulliam
I've lived in Sandy for nine years and my wife and her family are lifelong Sandy residents. The recent article in the Sandy Post ("Mayoral candidates address problems of growth, policy") confirms to me a lack of vision with the current city government.
I don't know Bill King personally. I believe he has skills when talking about land-use guidelines and city code, although I don't get a sense that he has a vision for Sandy. Sandy residents do not need a mayor that relies solely on experience, when the experience of our community has been frustration with the current policies.
Sandy needs a mayor that can lay out a vision for our future.
Stan Pulliam is a smart family man who I believe is well suited to be mayor of Sandy. He has the vision that Sandy desperately needs.
Sandy is growing beyond the ability of our infrastructure and faces unique challenges. We need a city leadership that recognizes our challenges and brings a fresh look to those issues.
My vote will be cast for Stan Pulliam because its time for Sandy to thank Bill King for his service and elect someone who can move this city forward.
Tim Burch, Sandy
