The writer describes Clackamas County Commissioner Ken Humberston as 'epitome of an involved citizen.'

I am happy to put in a good word for hard working Clackamas County Commissioner Ken Humberston. I first became aware of Ken — a former mayor, school board member, teacher and public safety officer — when he led the successful effort to reform the Clackamas River Water District Board, which had been paralyzed by board members whose actions resulted in several expensive lawsuits.

As a county commissioner, he has led efforts to create housing and services for homeless veterans. He responds to citizen's concerns, including ours regarding county operations of the sanitation district.

He's also very involved in efforts to bring internet service to all areas of our county. He's the epitome of an involved citizen, working on behalf of his constituents.
