Skibowl general managerto oversee new development
After two years as general manager of Mt. Hood Skibowl, Brett Fischer will now take his experience into a new position as the Government Camp resort's vice president of lodging/future development and planning.
Fischer has dedicated 17 years to the resort in various roles. He started with Skibowl in 2001 as assistant ticket and retail manager and still resides in Welches with his wife, Shannon, and two children.
His change in position comes after a transfer of management responsibilities to Mike Quinn earlier this year.
As vice president of lodging and future development, Fischer will be in charge of the development of a new resort in Central Oregon while maintaining the everyday flow of operations at Mt. Hood Management Company, which operates multiple homeowners associations, vacation rental properties and employee housing units.
The company has plans for 1,000 potential units in Government Camp.
"Brett has been a tremendous asset to the organization over the past 17 years and without a doubt will continue to contribute to our future growth," said Kirk Hanna, President/Owner of Mt. Hood Skibowl, LLC.
