Boring theater brings Christmas mashup to life
While some turn to their usual traditions of watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" or "It's a Wonderful Life" this time of year, the folks at Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company invite all to enjoy a night of "Every Christmas Story Ever Told."
Opening at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, the production of "Every Christmas Story Ever Told" includes many favorite holiday tales, including "A Christmas Carol," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Frosty the Snowman" and more.
A three-person cast of Ian Leiner, Kaleb Hood and Matthew Lewis, accompanied by some budding young thespians, couple classics with comedy as a variety of well-known characters in the 80-minute show.
"We wanted to do something really Christmasy," said Director Kelly Lazenby. "It's a fun family production."
To really play up the Christmas spirit, the company is even offering a discount for those who attend the show in their best ugly holiday sweater.
There will be opportunities for audience participation — so don't be a Scrooge.
"Every Chrsitmas Story Ever Told" runs through Dec. 22 with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays.
