More than 70 vendors come to event featuring antique vendors, food and music on July 16-17

PMG PHOTO: KATE CUADRADO - The faire will host over 70 vendors including food, drinks, and live music.Wade Creek Vintage Marketplace is hosting a two-day outdoor vintage faire where people can come for the antiques and stay for the food, drinks, and music.

Owner Michelle Melbourne has been running the event for two years now after taking over the property from the previous owner.

"Vintage is really upcoming and popular right now," Melbourne said. "So we're really happy to cater and do a primarily big event."

The event is taking place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 16-17, at Wade Creek Vintage Marketplace.

In addition to the 25 indoor vendors the marketplace hosts, the event will bring over 40 other vintage vendors to the area. Face painting, henna tattoos, and local food and produce vendors will also be at the event.

Local musicians Bobby and Friends and Robbie Laws will be performing on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Melbourne took over the location in 2020 right before the pandemic, and had to quickly adjust to the changing conditions.

"It was difficult being out here, not going to lie, but I was dedicated and committed for all the vendors," Melbourne said.

In addition to running the marketplace during the COVID-19 pandemic Melbourne had to work through the fires and ice storms that occurred that same year.

"It was just one challenge after another, but we've gotten through all of them," Melbourne said.

Now, Melbourne is excited to move forward and celebrate the summer season with the faire.

"Come be outside, get some fresh air, take your time, listen to music, get a beverage or a hot dog or something then just walk around and get more information about Estacada," Melbourne said.
