The Pioneers take on Centennial, Mountain View and McMinnville in last Friday's scrimmage sessions

SANDY POST: DAVID BALL - Sandy High players shake hands with McMinnville after their session during last Fridays four-team jamboree hosted by Centennial High. GRESHAM — The official start to the prep football season is Friday when Sandy travels to Silverton, but the Pioneers got a taste of Game Day action last week when they took part in a four-team jamboree hosted by Centennial High.

Sandy put up a pair of touchdowns — one by air and one by ground — during its 12-play scrimmage against Centennial.

"Really it's just a chance to get back into the groove and an opportunity for our coaches to get a look at our 2s and 3s in live action — we gave them a lot of reps tonight," Sandy coach Joe Polamalu said.
