Sandy graduates combine forces to win 3-on-3 basketball event in Spokane, Wash.

Sandy graduates win 3-on-3 tourney

Recent Sandy High graduates Bella Kansala, Athena Thomas and Isabelle Cabrera teamed up with Wilsonville graduate Hannah McKinney to win their bracket at the HoopFest 3-on-3 tournament in Spokane two weeks ago.

The quartet named themselves Yeet Haw and combined to go 5-0 in the tournament.

In other basketball news, Sandy's duo of Pierce Roeder and Kaleb Hubbard combined to hit 22 treys in one minute to win the team 3-point shootout at the 'War of the Border' tournament to wrap up the summer league season in Longview, Wash., last month.

Sandy hosts 12U Ripken tourneys

Sandy High is hosting both 12U Cal Ripken Northern Oregon state tournaments this weekend. Here are Sandy's all-star lists for all four age groups competing this weekend with other state tournaments in Gresham, West Linn and Lake Oswego.
