Mt. Hood Conference names 2021-22 boys basketball all-league
After a competitive year, the Mt. Hood Conference announced the top players from the 2021-22 boys basketball season.
Central Catholic swept the major awards after going an undefeated 16-0 through league play. The Rams had player of the year Riley Williams; defensive player of the year Jordan King; and coach of the year David Blue.
Barlow, Gresham, Reynolds and Sandy all had multiple athletes recognized.
Here are the all-league teams:
First team — Jalen Atkins, freshman, Barlow; Nathan Jones, senior, Barlow; Jordan King, senior, Central Catholic; Riley Williams, junior, Central Catholic; Josiah Collins, senior, David Douglas; Esyah Pippa-White, junior, Gresham.
Second team — Parker Poetsch, junior, Centennial; Isaac Carr, freshman, Central Catholic; Garrett Strube, junior, Clackamas; Jay'Vanni Sarchi, senior, David Douglas; Scotty Riddle, junior, Gresham; CJ Borin, junior, Nelson.
