Mt. Hood Conference names 2021-22 girls basketball all-league
The future is bright for the Mt. Hood Conference, as the majority of the top-ranked girls basketball players will be returning for at least one more season.
Led by a trio of Clackamas freshmen and pair of Barlow juniors, plenty of familiar faces will be back after the conference announced the 2021-22 all-league teams and individual honors.
Clackamas freshman Jazzy Davidson was named the player of the year; Barlow junior Kennedie Shuler and Clackamas freshman Dylan Mogel were named co-defensive players of the year; and Clackamas' Korey Landolt was named coach of the year.
Barlow, Sandy and Gresham all had athletes recognized.
Here are the all-league teams:
First team — Gretta Baker, senior, Central Catholic; Jazzy Davidson, freshman, Clackamas; Dylan Mogel, freshman, Clackamas; Sara Barnhoum, freshman, Clackamas; Kennedie Shuler, junior, Barlow; Annie Koenig, junior, Barlow.
Second team — Payton Allen, senior, Central Catholic; Avery Peterson, freshman, Clackamas; Sophia Hardy, junior, Nelson; Melanie Hiu, senior, Barlow; Lindsay Barden, senior, Barlow; Sydney Brewster, junior, Sandy.
