COURTESY PHOTO - The Mt. Hood softball team will host two sessions of its summer camp at MHCC in Gresham on Aug. 6.If the sun is still shining and it's not yet time for school, then there's still time for more softball.

That certainly seems to be the thinking at the Mt. Hood Softball Camp, which is set for two sessions at Mt. Hood Community College on Aug. 6.

The Lil' Saints Camp is open to players ages 6-13, runs from 9 a.m. to noon and costs $50 per player. The Prospect Camp is open to players ages 14+, runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and costs $50 per player.

Mt. Hood Community College is located at 26000 S.E. Stark St. in Gresham.

The camp will be led the Mt. Hood Community College softball team's coaching staff and players from its 2022 Northwest Athletic Conference champion. The camp will focus on basic and advanced skills associated with softball, breaking down offensive, defensive, pitching and catching techniques depending on age, experience and interest.

Players should bring cleats, gloves, batting gloves, bats, helmet and catcher's gear (if needed).

Players can register here.
